In the Lone Ranger we see how some Americans actually try to
help out the Indians while others do try to make them look bad in the eyes of
other Americans. For example when they
would steel the food that was meant for the Indians in order for the Americans to
get rich and then blame the Indians for attacking the wagons; show how Americans
will one do anything to make money to become rich. They will feasibly accuse others in order to
obtain wealth. At the same time make
those that aren’t American look bad to the rest of the world because they are
attacking food that is suppose to be going to there reservation. It shows that the Indians were ungrateful.
On the other hand though you have people like the Lone
Ranger and the Inspector who want to help out the Indians and investigate what
is going on with the food that is suppose to be going to the reservation. They represent government agencies that want
to protect everyone’s rights. So it
shows how the government actually cares for it foreigners and wants them to be
protected. It also shows that Tonto the
Indian is not only loyal to his tribe but the America as well. He not only wants to help out his people he
also helps out the Lone Ranger and reports everything back as the Lone Ranger
instructs him to. From this episode
there is that sense that some Americans may not want foreigners to come into
there country and they will become rich at there expense but the government on
the other hand is looking out for them and trying to protect them.
