My eyes open widely when I see, I observe an older, fat, rugged and rusty, fetid and putrid white man whipping, vigorously, with efficacy and sadism, the cornered body of the brown indigenous young man. He slashes discipline unto his chest and commands him to become ruly in all aspect possible in a white anglo saxon, protestant, heteropatriarchal, racist, elitist space.
But, gracias a Dios y al Father Bautista (in the Lone Ranger show), that there exist one white, strong, and potent man who can fix-it all, and "can solve red man problem" (in Tonto's voice).
"Taking care of both you two Indians is going to give me extra special pleasure," says finally the fat, white, putrid-scenting man as he is about to murder both. Yet, the black masqueraded man of wheat- hair rescues Lone Ranger's defenseless and acquiesced partner, Tonto, and Chief Swifteagle. The beautiful golden wheat-haired masked Ranger intervenes and rescues his beloved Indio and save his and his people's lives once more. Along they both fly-away with a cloud of dust into the horizon.
And like Speedy Gonzales's case, no room for exhumation. Although, "Lone Ranger" has already been brought back from the underworld. What do we think about the Lone Ranger today and yesterday?
Confession: This is my first time I watched the "Lone Ranger" show.
